They sell quality surf wear brands that are priced accordingly. They also have end of season sales so if their items are not within your price range than wait for their sales or go online to their website to see what items they have on sale. The owners are lovely and every time I have friends or family staying with me I always take them to the shop. It’s so important to support small businesses so I encourage you to check them out!!

From the initial contact, scheduling, and communications leading up to our lesson everything went smoothly and we knew we would be in good hands.the instructors were super cool and helpful to get us riding waves in no time at all!! Kerry Sullivan: I was in town for a week and looking to take a surf lesson. It's been so long since I surfed but Savannah was super accommodating giving me multiple days and times to book a lesson. Luke who gave my lesson was very helpful and knowledgeable about the waves and current. I felt safe and very comfortable with him. I had a great time! I would highly recommend Sister Jo's surf school if you're in town and looking for a fun surf experience. 😊
Erin Hunger: Our kids age 5 and 6 took a surf lesson with Coach Paul, he was so friendly kind and patient. The kids had a blast and were able to stand up on their boards and surf for the whole hour! The kids had a blast and when asked what their favorite part was. They said he let them do cannon balls off the surfboards!!! Paul even came up to us at the end of the lesson and told us that we were doing a great job as parents because the kids were so well behaved!

The excellent attention to details Robert took for each student and myself in his scuba instruction and teaching made it easy for me feel confident as a first time scuba diver. We learned very thoroughly the knowledge and ability to be safe at scuba diving going forwards. The in-field instruction covered all of the information I learned on the NAUI internet course and beyond so that you knew an extensive amount on all things scuba diving. Robert made sure each student mastered every step of learning how to scuba dive properly and most importantly all of the safety protocols and how to mitigate hazards, what to do when you come across a hazard and so on. My girlfriend and I could not be happier with our experience here and would 100% choose NAUI and Depth Perception Dive Center again for our scuba learning. Thank you Robert!

Grace McCranie: An incredible dive shop with incredible instructors. Robert, the owner of the shop, genuinely cares about you as a person and makes sure you’re a safe, informed, and responsible diver above all else. Any question you have, he has the answer to. Kent is an amazing instructor who makes you feel safe while also making sure you have fun and ensures you will leave feeling confident in your diving ability. I don’t see how my experience could’ve been any better, they made it perfect. If you’re thinking of getting open water certified, this is the place to be!
Shane Ross: was more than accommodating and was able to fit my fiancee and I in on short notice for a full private NAUI Scuba Diver course. Robert is an excellent instructor from the classroom to the dives. In and out of the water he is very knowledgeable and provides great feedback to help you learn and improve your dive skills. We never felt pressured and were extremely comfortable in the water with him, safety is key. After completing the course we feel more than comfortable to go out on our own and are looking forward to scuba diving in Saint Lucia for our wedding. Thank you Robert and the team for everything!

Even though it’s about 45 minutes from my house.Robert and the rest of the team are top notch. They care about the students, their safety and comfort. My direct instructor John was fantastic. His positive attitude and depth of knowledge made learning easy.Being an IT professional, the first thing that attracted me to this dive center was the website. It’s modern and the store calendar was accurate and up to date. The information on the courses was also complete and easy to understand.It was really annoying to look at a dive centers calendar and it was years out of date. Makes me feel like the training is going to be out of date.The dive center stocks all sorts of gear. There was plenty of space for the training and the team made us comfortable for the classroom portion. They will fit you for gear to make sure it’s right.The rental gear was up to date and most of it pretty new. The team knows what they are doing! They got all my sizes right just by looking at me.I highly recommend the NAUI courses at Depth Perception. If you are looking to get certified you need to check these guys out!

Cole Sillivant: Don at Foil repaired one of my boards that had gotten pretty beaten up in a move. He was professional, did an awesome job and was incredibly forthright and fair in his pricing. 10/10, would recommend.
Ryan: let me rent his 5'8" FOIL Bulldog model at 29.6L for a Typhoon Lagoon surf session that he coordinated. I am 6'1" 170lbs and this board was perfect in this surf and had a ton of drive. I rode it as a quad setup and with the smallish surf that the Lagoon pushes, this board just wanted to GO! With minimal pumps the board would ride fast and be up to speed. I visited from New Jersey, but could see this board as an all around go to board for knee high to head high with good float and volume in all the right spots to get around sections and still easily dig the rails for big turns. Don is a great guy and dedicated to his craft, I would love to try this board in more surf!

I recently traveled to the shop to take lessons and was all the more impressed. They were very helpful in assisting me with gear selection, and Britt and Richard are great instructors. I highly recommend North Beach Windsurfing, my go-to shop for top-notch service, training and gear!
Stuart Noel: Staff at the shop are friendly. Richard is a great instructor. Very friendly and knowledgeable and will explain in detail while still not bombarding you with too much at once. He explains in sailor terminology then translates to relatable terms. You’ll have a great time and pickup an exciting new hobby, guaranteed.

Mike Greene: Was camping in the area for a week and looked up a place for windsurfing equipment rental. Came across these guys and was blown away by the fact that they had a 5.0 rating, hardly see that. So I called and everyone I spoke with was very friendly and patient with answering all my questions. Finally set up a lesson with group rate and to my benefit the other two were no shows so I basically go a private 3hr lesson for the group rate. Called later to set up a second rental and again very easy and great rate. Karen was awesome setting it all up by phone and Richard is a great instructor. Hope to see you folks again next year and carry on. Highly recommend these fine folks!

I have a Gili Air board that had a bad run in with some oysters resulting in a sizable gash on the side. I didn’t have luck using the patch kit it came with and other shops told me it was totaled, but Todd got her up in running in under 2 days!!! It has held up just fine so far! I would definitely go back to Livin’ Salty for any repairs and to look at their gorgeous SUPs!!!

Leslie Whittaker: This place is FANTASTIC. These guys clearly know their stuff when it comes to paddle boards and watersports. They were going to help me out with a repair and suggested I go back to the manufacturer first which worked and I didn't end up using them for the repair but that should tell you what type of establishment this is. I definitely plan on going back to them for my next paddle board purchase or accessories because they deserve the business for being such an upstanding business that wants to help you out.
Leah Petty: By far the best water sports shop around. They are super nice but more importantly they are filled with so much knowledge and they seem to really want you to get what works for you not what they want to sale. they do custom work and they also do rentals so you can get a feel for what you want to purchase and know if it is going to work for you before you buy it. They have a nice large selection of beach wear and beach apparel, which really surprised me. They have all you Florida gifts but not like a gift shop with not so great stuff. Stop by this place you will not regret it!
