M: My experience with Excel Music has been great from the beginning. Office staff are kind and communicate well. I was lucky to have Mr. Greg as my cello teacher. Transition to virtual lesson was smooth and there hasn’t been any issues. My daughter also started viola lesson with Mr. Greg during the summer. It is still enjoyable and good quality lessons even though it is virtual. We look forward to many more lessons!
sowmya rana: Below is the experience of my daughter who is studying violin at Excel Music----------------------------------------------------------------In my humble opinion, learning violin in person itself is hard. But, now making it online, it will be even harder. But Excel Music has done everything it can to make my classes easier. I am grasping the concept and the music very easily through virtually. Their new app called “Teacher Zone” is very helpful. I can talk to my teacher and ask her for help, I know which assignments that I am supposed to practice, my scheduled classes and the dates. Lastly, it has a practice timer which tracks how many minutes I practiced each day and tells you the total hours you have been practicing during the week, and in whole.My teacher, Mrs.Brittnay has been working so hard to teach me new music and she helped me improve in a lot of areas in my violin. Every Saturday at 11:00am my class starts, and it ends at 12:00pm. But, in that one hour, I learn so much of new topics and concepts in my violin. Mrs. Brittnay is a very kind and helpful teacher. I learn songs and music sheets without any difficulty in understanding anything. She answers my questions, she also even lets me suggest new songs which she can help me learn by sending me the notes. Excel Music has been doing a wonderful job and will keep doing an excellent job. Teaching students virtually is difficult and challenging, but Excel Music has been excelling at it so far.

Maryam Tahmasbi: We love the new Tampa piano and pedagogy academy. The staff are friendly and professional with great teaching skills. The annual recitals are very well organized and we enjoy participating in them. So glad that our son is getting piano lessons in this center.
Albert Donaldson: The New Tampa Piano and Pedagogy Academy has been a wonderful resource for my son to really build his talent and skills learning and growing to new levels with the piano. He has had incredible advancement with his instructor Ms, Hong and the overall program with the institution.
Rachel Hall: My two children have attended the academy for several years. I appreciate the opportunity for students to have group classes aimed at their skill levels, and also the opportunity to progress into private instruction. All of the teachers have been excellent. Our current teacher, Mr. Ibo, has been wonderful at challenging our children to excel since he is an accomplished performer and teacher as well. It is helpful for our children to see practical applications of their progress by having the opportunity to perform in recitals alongside their peers. They have the challenge of working hard toward a goal which I think is important for their personal development and discipline. I highly recommend this academy for students of all ages since they have programs that anyone can benefit from.

Dr. Bermudez is an excellent instructor and has really been able to get the most out of our child. The energy of the staff is what drew me in after meeting them at the Westchase Locale Market.The lobby gets busy with students and parents and many times you'll get to experience students playing their instruments showing what they have learned.They offer lessons for guitar, ukulele, violin, piano, voice, drums..there is a music lab and composer station where students can write and record their own music. Our first trial lesson was free so you can't argue with that!My daughter has been coming here for the last 6 months and her teacher Mr. Chris makes learning fun and has great patience when she struggles. We really appreciate him.Parents of students also have the opportunity to come out on Tuesday nights and play guitar with Mr. Chris, too. It's been an awesome experience for me. I've learned so much and have a blast. It's an hour long from 7pm to 8pm. So many opportunities to learn with a great bunch of people!

Marion Haase: As a lifelong musician, I've never seen a conservatory or music studio where the kids are so at ease, so invested in their instrument, and so friendly toward one another! The staff really gets it, they understand why it's important for music to be fun and geared toward the child's personal preferences and how they each learn.
Jeff Cofini: Such a great experience for these kids to be able to grow their talents in a rock band setting. Approximately every eight weeks School of Rock takes their show on the road and plays what they have been learning on stage in front of a fairly large audience at a public venue. A real confidence builder and so much fun for the the kids family and friends to see in that type of setting.

Jerry Nolan: I have been taking vocal lessons with Larry Lafalce for a couple of months now and I'm extremely impressed with his skills, knowledge, and communication abilities. He really puts you at ease. He's shown great patience with a beginner like me. During my first lesson I realized that he's obviously an expert. Subsequent lessons have revealed that he's not only a master of the detailed techniques that are a part of great singing, he also explains them in ways that are easy to understand. He extensively cites examples of techniques in music I've heard before and that makes it easier to understand. Also he coaches using exercises that I think are innovative yet natural.I've never been much of a singer but of course I've listened to lots and lots of vocals. And yet at every lesson Larry will point out some aspect of singing that I'll find myself thinking "OMG, I never knew that. How did I not know that? How did I never even notice that?". Larry knows the detailed nuances of great singing, and he knows how to teach them. Along with all the basics that a beginning singer like me needs!
Emma Peaslee: I've taken multiple lessons with Larry, mainly voice and now guitar and he is fantastic! His technique is professional but very fun and he always inspires me to try new exercises and push harder in my weaker areas. He also lets you choose your own songs that you want to learn and it lets me explore different genres and eventually create my own technique. If I'm struggling in an area he has multiple ways of approaching it, practices that can help me get there and it helps a ton. I'd definitely recommend him to beginners and advanced artists!
