Debbie: Billy refinished my terrazzo floors. Before he started, he explained what he was going to do, and during the process. He did an amazing job of protecting the walls and other floors in the process. The machinery had to be brought across a sliding door track, and I was grateful to see his care in gently guiding his heavy machines over it so as not to damage it. He did a great job, and cleaned up beautifully. Should I decide to remove the vinyl tiles and carpet laid over the rest of the terrazzo, I will definitely be calling Alex and Billy at Florida Floor Finishing and Polishing.

We recently had an issue with our interior floors which caused the planks to buckle. Through the Woods was able to replace the damaged planks and seamlessly match the new planks with the surrounding floor. Dudley Bryant: We had a leak in our kitchen which ruined our engineered hardwood floors. I interviewed two other companies and chose Through the Woods for a few different reasons. When I first met with the founder Dennis I was really impressed with his knowledge of wood and flooring in general. Not that I know anything, but he was the third contractor I talked to so I had some knowledge at this point. He took quite a bit of time with me exploring my options and describing different product options. Since we had oak floors and wanted to stay that way, Dennis recommended Somerset Red Oak Engineered Hardwood. He explained the cost benefit of the product in that the veneers are sawn instead of rotary peeled like some cheaper brands. Also they offer generally longer length boards and are made exclusively in America from American wood. He seemed very meticulous in his attention to detail in explaining the process and his estimate. Once we had the schedule nailed down the owner Chris took over and managed the project. The crews were timely and polite and left the job site very clean each night. They communicated regularly through the whole process and did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. The crew finished the job ahead of schedule and results are fantastic!!! The floors looks beautiful and the installation appears flawless. I highly recommend this company. Years ago they did an excellent job with a complicated project- replacing all the woods floors in my house due to moisture issues from under the slab. 8 years later when I needed some flooring removed to extract a dishwasher, I called Dennis and he came to my rescue again. Chris returned after the job was done to removed some glue they had missed. 5 star business.

We ultimately chose a DuChateau floor with an oil finish, and Chris carried out the installation of well over 3,000 sq ft of new floors with their team of installers. Chris has also been a pleasure to work with, and was most helpful in repairing parts of the floor that have been damaged throughout the renovation. He also was very helpful educating us on the maintenance process of oiled floors, which happen to be beautiful. He did an awesome job on matching our existing stair treads to our new wood floors as well. Stan Wurm: We recently purchased a condo in Whispering Oaks, Carrollwood. We fell in love with the engineered hardwood floors on the bottom level. We disliked the carpeting on the stairs and second level. So we found Chris Petit's information from the previous owner and contacted him. His company installed the engineered hardwood on the bottom level 8 years ago. We met with Chris and he had the information in his file for this particular hardwood. We made an appointment for Chris to measure and give us some recommendations for the staircase. We wanted the same Flooring on the steps to tie the bottom level and upper level together. He showed us a bullnose option on the steps we fell in love with. We had a small Stair rail at the bottom and a rail up the left side. Chris referred us to a Stair company who designed and will install the stairs. Chris has coordinated with our painters, our Granite company and our Stair installer. His experience and expertise in the Flooring industry gave us confidence with his suggestions and an end result that exceeded our expectations!
