MsLisa LaRue: I am a ovarian cancer patient. I was a referral from the Tampa VA. My VA doctor specifically sought out Dr. English at the Tampa General Cancer Center because "of her expertise in my cancer". We all knew the statistics in ovarian center...they usually are never good. But because my ovarian cancer was caught by accident in an preventive total hysterectomy and still in the very very early stages, I stood a good chance of surviving and beating it! Staging operation was done and by the grace of God and Dr. English and her team, I had NO SPREAD! My first Chemotherapy was yesterday and I couldn't say enough great thing about this amazing team of Nurses who tended to me.. they were Angels and got me thru , without any major complications. I got whatever I wanted off the food cart, extra pillows and a nice warm blanket in the privacy of my own room. It was an amazing experience in the most difficult circumstances and I am forever grateful to this staff! I pray God blesses them and hope TGH recognizes their willingness to go the extra mile for their patients. They deserve a raise!!! Thank you Ladies for your compassion. You all Rock!!

I had brain surgery at Moffitt which no other surgeons whom I’ve visited would touch. Dr Beer Furlan tackled my tumor, and during my stay post surgery, the experience was great. The space is open and airy. The staff I’ve met are very professional. It’s seems to be a very nice hospital that I hope you never have to visit.

Karen Smith: The people and the facilities are the best. They offer free valet along with self parking. The people are friendly and caring. You do have to check in for each individual appointment instead of just once. The Drs will override scheduling when needed to make sure you get the immediate care that is needed. Due to the immediate care they provided my sister, I believe they saved her life.

Joanne Mulvaney: Best place to be if you have cancer. They have worked very hard at getting me all my testing done prior to my double mastectomy. Lots of parking at their McKinley Rd location with huge parking garage. Also you can Moffitt Uber from Magnolia and USF Alumni Rd buildings for many testings.Hospital stay was excellent with many nurses and doctors on hand working on my cancer case and treatments. Also was contacted by a Moffitt psychologist to help me through the emotional upheaval regarding my breast cancer diagnosis.My appointments and tests were on time and everything worked in sync and went smoothly.Surgery also went smoothly and everyone from the Techs, nurses and doctors took good care of me. Very caring and compassionate

lynn wilson: It is Moffitt, a world class medical facility however the long waits between appointments is very difficult for some cancer patients. Having to wait hours between appointments is exhausting, very uncomfortable and shouldn't be the norm, however it is. They have far outgrown their facilities and don't have the space nor staffing to be more efficient. If patients are the first priority they have some work to do to l8ve up to the hype. I fully understand the fact that they are the best facility around and the patient load is monumental, but th8ngs have gotten out of hand!!

Pammie: We had the best medical experience ever these past 2 days. My husband was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer and was told his best treatment option was surgery. My husband is relatively young so this was very hard for us. Nevertheless, we went to several physicians in the area and my husband really liked Dr Pow Sang. He explained everything in simple terms and put him at ease. The surgery went well, they kept me informed every two hours and the entire staff including Kristen at the front desk were amazing! Nurses Jill, Greta, and Shamil were fantastic!! So nice and professional!! My husband made the right choice!! Please keep this up! Cancer is scary and having caring compassionate people taking care of you makes all the difference!! Oh and a big shout out to Chaplain Sandy. We enjoyed our conversation with her! She is amazing!!!
