The entire staff right from the admin to the top management was highly motivated and helpful in all aspects. The facility had good number of aircrafts in pretty good condition and was timely maintained to enable the students to fly and get trained without much downtime. Herbert Bradford: The location in Tampa is one of the bigger locations with a large fleet of aircraft that are well maintained and a great group of instructors.
Chad Jarnot: Great place to learn how to fly! Everyone at the St.Pete location is focused on safety, and I had a lot of fun earning all my certificates. Be ready to put in a lot of hard work, but it's all worth it in the end!

Michael Donofrio: Went to ATP in Tampa and did the Airline Career Pilot Program and started with credit for Private Pilote. The location in Tampa is one of the bigger locations with a large fleet of aircraft that are well maintained and a great group of instructors. The program went very smoothly and even with corona virus extending the length of the program ATP did a great job adapting and continuing to train as safely and on time as possible. Would recommend ATP to anyone who is dedicated and willing to put in the hard work to become a great instructor and future airline pilot.

Gary Milliner: The best place for pilot training! I was a student at other flight schools in the area; this is the best. Professionalism, communication, syllabus progression, and a friendly atmosphere are Clearwater Aviation's standard. Aircraft availability was awesome, and the owner worked with my schedule. Take it from an active duty USCG Chief, this is the flight school to attend.

Jack Sheets: I earned my PPL at Clearwater Aviation about 2 months ago and the level of training I received here is unmatched compared to any other part 141 flight school in the area! When it came time for me to take my checkride I was very well prepared. Thank you to everyone at Clearwater Aviation for making my flight training experience a blast! Matthew Turco: I went to the flight school here for my private pilot rating. If I could give 6 stars I would. My flight instructor Alex was always willing to go the extra mile to help me learn maneuvers and landings. He went through every bit of material to make sure became confident and competent. Whenever there was an area I struggled with Alex would come back with a new way to explain it to help me progress and learn. He was always patient and actually cared to help get me to achieve my goals. My work schedule varied through my training and Travis who does the scheduling made sure I was able to get work and lessons in. I also got to fly with the senior instructor Franco for my stage check to make sure I was ready for the check ride. He did a great job making sure I was prepared for the end. The other instructors at the school were always friendly and offered advice tips and tricks. Before my ground exam Corey even went over some easy ways to remember airspace rules. If you are looking for a great school that will help you achieve your goals with great instructors this is the one.
Bill ~: I tried 3 other flight schools in the area before finding CWA. There is absolutely no comparison. CWA is the most professional and safest operation I’ve seen since I left the US Army. These guys are organized, experienced and their instructors are mature, caring and make flying fun. Take my advice, if you’re looking for flight training or just a discovery flight this is where you need to go. Love their airplanes too!

Stephanie kirsch: Highly recommend Clearwater Aviation. Professional from start to finish. Extremely flexible. We opted to use Clearwater Aviation to obtain a private pilot's licence for our daughter who is in college. She attends a United States Service Academy at USMMA. She had to have a flexible schedule in order to complete all of her requirements for her degree program. Travis was professional and extremely motivated to help set up her program appropriately and worked with several different agencies in order to fulfill a scholarship, as well being transparent with all financial statements.Cory is am amazing instructor. He is able to quickly assess a student's personality along with their skill level to provide the most accurate plan to finish the licence within a timely manner.We researched other schools in the area and by far Clearwater aviation was the right choice.

Jesse Bellopede: these guys can get you up to speed on what you need to know for each test. It's stressful and very intense but as long as you take the class seriously and actually try to learn, these guys can teach you. Big thanks to Gary, Sam, and Tom for teaching someone as dyslexic as me to pass the exams in one try.
Manuel Gonzalez: Doing the two-week crash course is pretty intense. It's a lot of information, but you get out of it what you put into it. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful so make full use of the resources available to you. No nonsense and to the point, they know what it's like and what it takes. After two long weeks, I am happy to say I achieved my A&P authorization. Thank you Gary, Tom, and Sam. You've been awesome.
Mark Schmid: I took the two week course and passed all of my tests and oral/practicals the fist time around. Most of the class had a similar result. The course is very intense and not for the faint of heart. It requires much focus and independent study on down time at home or in the hotel. Sam was our instructor and he was excellent. The curriculum initially was not what I was expecting, but their methodswere effective for me, and I have no regrets. I found the staff and classmates were friendly and genuinely supportive, and they would take extra time for you if you needed it. There was no pressure to test on their schedule if you were not ready. If you have a good practical background and need to finish your certification this is a great option.
Christina Hofstetter: Just got done with the AP prep course. Passed all my tests/oral/practical first time. Their course is definitely worth it.
Sean Anthony: Tom is extremely knowledgeable on this subject matter. He made the week very interested and learning enjoyable. Listen to what he says, study the assignments every night and you will pass your exams. Do not hesitate to ask questions during class or if you have questions on the homework. I highly recommend TBlack Aviation for the IA Class.
Lucas Dicks: They set you up for success, the course is not a cake walk, it's fast pace and detailed. They tell you exactly how it is and what to expect the first day. If you show up ready you accomplish your goals and listen to their guidance you will easily succeed.
Hunter Dickens: This is hands down the best class you can take to obtain your A&P. Tom and Tony are without a doubt the best instructors! The class is hard but if it was easy everyone would have their A&P. I struggled with some sections of the powerplant and Tom and Tony help me understand and addressed my weak point. If you are active duty don't waste your time going anywhere else but T-Black.
Chris Peters: This is a great course and they provide you with everything you need to get your A&P. Tom and Tony are great instructors, fun and knowledgable, and always willing to help.This course is no gimme! You need at work at it, but I'd highly recommend TBlack Aviation to anyone looking to get their A&P!

Zach Abbott: Today, 11:50 AMI used Heli Aviation for a proposal and the entire experience was amazing. It was the first time my fiancé and I got to ride in a helicopter. We did the sunset cruise and it was absolutely breathtaking getting to fly over Downtown Sarasota, Longboat Key and Anna Maria. Initially, we had some issues with scheduling due to weather and the staff was very professional and accommodating. They went above and beyond, they got us flowers and a card to top off the whole experience. The pilot was very knowledgeable about the area and took great pictures for us before and after the flight. I highly recommend this for a special occasion, there is really nothing like it.

A: Back in the UK now but on 25 July whilst in Sarasota my wife booked a tour for our daughter and me. WOW was excellent took off at 7pm perfect time to go. Whole team very professional kept us informed of the changing weather and the pilot was excellent !!!!! ....thank you .

My mom and I took a trip to Clearwater and wanted to do something we've never done before so we both booked flights with Dane for our fist day in Florida. I can't even begin to explain how amazing this flight was - you get the thrill of being high up in the air being able to see everything while not being enclosed in a plane so you can actually see all around you. I was lucky enough to see some dolphins, manta rays, and even a matinee! Dane was a fantastic pilot, giving me lots of incredible facts about the beach and area while we flew around. I even got to act as pilot for a bit of the trip! Would definitely recommend and do again in a heartbeat!!!!
Brittany Miller: Wow what an experience. Will surely be doing this again in the future.I am super scared of heights. Like hold my hand close my eyes and panic scared lol. But this was a piece of cake for me. I was waiting for that small aircraft to rock, sway or dip...NOPE. I have never even been on a aircraft that smooth.I was honestly worried about the take off and landing. I had my eyes close and fist clench in preparación, but that was unnecssary.Dane was supportive of all questions and is so at ease in that sky. Never once did I feel not in safe hands.Rating:200 out of 10
John Stackhouse: I did a Long Intro Flight with Dane. I am a Fixed Wing Pilot and own a larger aircraft. Dane is the utmost professional and safe pilot. This was a complete blast once I acclimated to the smaller aircraft.I was secretly wanting to turn around and land for about the first 3 minutes but once I acclimated it was beyond cool. This is a Cool Aircraft. It is almost like riding Motorcycle or Jet Ski in the sky. In 20+ years of flying I have never experienced anything like it. I am coming back for my training in these aircraft.

Jerry Scott: From living in a tourist driven state, I think Sky Surfing Aviation is one of those hidden gems. Thanks to my wife's idea, I discovered that flying with Dane from Sky Surfing Aviation is one the best things to do in Florida. I loved the flight plan of going west towards beach area rather than flying over houses and, also, taken controls of the plane. Dane has treated me first class from the start to the end. Sarath Tata: Dane, the captain, is an awesome person. He's so approachable, answers to every question, keeps in touch with you once you plan a trip. He makes sure you are comfortable with everything and explains everything clearly. His bird is really awesome, it's so stable and you can easily navigate once you are in the air. One must experience this ride when in that area. I'll definitely be back just for this ride, not only for this awesome bird, but also a good friendly person, Dane.
Daniel Utchel: The experience of flying in an Ultralight Aircraft is one of a kind. Its truly like riding a motorcycle in the sky. After been parasailing and skydiving this was the most relaxed and comfortable ride through the sky, and hope to make this a future hobby. Dane was very professional from beginning to end. He provided a lot of information about flying and the locations in which we were flying over. I have already recommended Dane to everyone I have told about the experience. This is a must do for all ages!
Nikhil Dewan: I took my girlfriend for this experience for her bday and absolutely loved it! Dane was very courteous and professional, and made the flight fun! I don't think it's everyday that you get to ride in an awkward small two-seated aircraft but it was a lot of fun! We were definitely worried about how safe it is to ride in essentially a small bag dangling from a kite but it was surprisingly safe so no need to worry. As a first timer, I even got to control the steering! Overall very fun experience and I would recommend to anyone looking to do something different.

Gary Seminara: Amazing! Dane called to recommend a later flight so there would be less chop. Great recommendation, this allowed me to take the 730pm slot and see the sunset over the beach. Got to fly the ultralight, did figure 8s over the beach, even saw my first shipwreck. Flying over the intercoastal and the gulf gives you a great perspective of Clearwater and the beaches. Highly recommend it!
